All things, whether good or evil, are appointed by God to happen, hence,

I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the Lord do all these things. (Isaiah 45:7 [KJV])

The LORD kills and brings to life; he brings down to Sheol and raises up. (1 Samuel 2:6 [ESV])

For he wounds, but he also bandages; he strikes, but his hands also heal.  (Job 5:18 [NETBIBLE])

“‘See now that I, even I, am he, and there is no god beside me; I kill and I make alive; I wound and I heal; and there is none that can deliver out of my hand. (Deuteronomy 32:39 [ESV])

For just as a man moves his arm by his own will, so does God move everything by his own will, even every speck of dust that exists, which is why in God not only do we live and exist, but also move,

For in him we live and move and exist. As some of your own poets have said, ‘We are his offspring.’
(Acts 17:28 [NLT])

Which is also why even the outcome of the roll of a dice is said to be determined by God,

We may throw the dice, but the LORD determines how they fall. (Proverbs 16:33 [NLT])

Which relates to why the apostles cast lots to choose who the twelfth apostle would be to replace Judas, knowing that the result of chance occurs by the choice of God,

Then they cast lots, and the lot fell to Matthias; so he was added to the eleven apostles. (Acts 1:26 [NIV])

Even the rising of the entire sun happens because God “causes” the sun to rise,

that you may be children of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. (Matthew 5:45 [NIV])

Even the formation of a baby in the womb is “caused” by God,

For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother’s womb. (Psalm 139:13 [NIV])

And God has even numbered the amount of hairs on everyone’s heads,

Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don’t be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows. (Luke 12:7 [NIV])

Because it is God who “causes” the growth of hair on everyone’s heads. Even all the mute, deaf, and the blind are “caused” to be so by God,

Then the LORD said to him, “Who has made man’s mouth? Who makes him mute, or deaf, or seeing, or blind? Is it not I, the LORD? (Exodus 4:11 [ESV])

That he may then demonstrate his power to heal,

His disciples asked him, “Rabbi, who sinned, this man or his parents, that he was born blind?” “Neither this man nor his parents sinned,” said Jesus, “but this happened so that the works of God might be displayed in him… After saying this, he spit on the ground, made some mud with the saliva, and put it on the man’s eyes. “Go,” he told him, “wash in the Pool of Siloam” (this word means “Sent”). So the man went and washed, and came home seeing.  (John 9:2-7 [NIV])

Even every single day of our lives have been predestined and recorded in books in heaven before any day occurred,

You saw me before I was born. Every day of my life was recorded in your book. Every moment was laid out before a single day had passed. (Psalm 139:16 [NLT])

And even the hearts of men are directed by God,

The king’s heart is like channels of water in the hand of the LORD; He turns it wherever He wishes. (Proverbs 21:1 [NASB])

No one can come to me unless the Father who sent me draws them, and I will raise them up at the last day. (John 6:44 [NIV])

Which is why he is able harden the hearts of those he has decided to hate,

Yet, before the twins were born or had done anything good or bad–in order that God’s purpose in election might stand… Just as it is written: “…but Esau I hated.” (R0mans 9:11-13 [NIV])

…he chooses to harden the hearts of others so they refuse to listen. (Romans 9:18 [NLT])

He has blinded their eyes and hardened their heart, lest they see with their eyes, and understand with their heart, and turn, and I would heal them.” (John 12:40 [ESV])

“But I will harden Pharaoh’s heart that I may multiply My signs and My wonders in the land of Egypt. (Exodus 7:3 [NASB])

That through those he has hated he may demonstrate his wrath and power,

What if God, desiring to show his wrath and to make known his power, has endured with much patience vessels of wrath prepared for destruction, (Romans 9:22 [ESV])

For by now I could have stretched out my hand and struck you and your people with a plague that would have wiped you off the earth. But I have raised you up for this very purpose, that I might show you my power and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth. (Exodus 9:15-16 [NIV])

For Scripture says to Pharaoh: “I raised you up for this very purpose, that I might display my power in you and that my name might be proclaimed in all the earth.” (Romans 9:17 [NIV])

The LORD hath made all things for himself: yea, even the wicked for the day of evil. (Proverbs 16:4 [KJV])

Which will result in the reduction to ashes of everyone he has decided to reject,

Then you will trample on the wicked; they will be ashes under the soles of your feet on the day when I act,” says the LORD Almighty. (Malachi 4:3 [NIV])

By the final judgment of the lake of fire, which will destroy not only the body, but also the soul of all who have been rejected,

And do not fear those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Rather fear him who can destroy both soul and body in hell. (Matthew 10:28 [ESV])

“And they will go out and look on the dead bodies of those who rebelled against me; the worms that eat them will not die, the fire that burns them will not be quenched, and they will be loathsome to all mankind.” (Isaiah 66:24 [NIV])

And even the angels who God has decided to reject will be destroyed by this fire, and will cease to exist just as all the men who were rejected and thrown into the same fire,

…“‘You were the seal of perfection, full of wisdom and perfect in beauty. 13 You were in Eden, the garden of GodThrough your widespread trade you were filled with violence, and you sinned. So I drove you in disgrace from the mount of God, and I expelled you, guardian cherub, from among the fiery stones. 17 Your heart became proud on account of your beauty, and you corrupted your wisdom because of your splendor. So I threw you to the earth; I made a spectacle of you before kings. 18 By your many sins and dishonest trade you have desecrated your sanctuaries. So I made a fire come out from you, and it consumed you, and I reduced you to ashes on the ground in the sight of all who were watching. 19 All the nations who knew you are appalled at you; you have come to a horrible end and will be no more.’ (Ezekiel 28:12-19 [NIV])

I said, “You are gods, sons of the Most High, all of you; nevertheless, like men you shall die, and fall like any prince.” (Psalm 82:6-7 [ESV])

Yet he is also able to draw whoever he has decided to love,

Yet, before the twins were born or had done anything good or bad–in order that God’s purpose in election might stand… Just as it is written: “Jacob I loved…” (R0mans 9:11-13 [NIV])

Or do you disregard the riches of His kindness, tolerance, and patience, not realizing that God’s kindness leads you to repentance? (Romans 2:4 [BSB])

I will give them a heart to know me, that I am the LORD. They will be my people, and I will be their God, for they will return to me with all their heart. (Jeremiah 24:7 [NIV])

for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose. (Philippians 2:13 [NIV])

Because by first having appointed all to be disobedient,

For God has bound up all in disobedience… (Romans 11:32 [BLB])

He may then demonstrate his mercy and forgiveness to those who he has decided to love,

For God has bound up all in disobedience, that He may show mercy to all. (Romans 11:32 [BLB])

And what if he is willing to make known the wealth of his glory on the objects of mercy that he has prepared beforehand for glory— (Romans 9:23 [NETBIBLE])

For he says to Moses, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I have compassion.” (Romans 9:15 [NIV])

So you see, God chooses to show mercy to some… (Romans 9:18 [NLT])

But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. (Romans 5:8 [NIV])

Which is why it is not a matter of the one wanting or the one running that a man is saved,

So then it is not of the one wanting, nor of the one running, but of the showing mercy of God. (Romans 9:16 [ABP])

But of the mercy of God on those he has chosen,

Who accuses against the chosen of God? God is the one justifying. (Romans 8:33 [ABP])

Paul, a bondman of God, and apostle of Jesus Christ, for belief of the chosen of God, and full knowledge of truth, of the one according to piety; (Titus 1:1 [ABP])
But we ought always to give thanks to God for you, brothers beloved by the Lord, because God chose you as the firstfruits to be saved, through sanctification by the Spirit and belief in the truth. (2 Thessalonians 2:13 [ESV])

For God has chosen who he will show mercy to and save from before the foundation of the world. As such, not only are all things determined by God, but also “predetermined” and “predestined”,

even as he chose us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and blameless before him. In love (Ephesians 1:4 [ESV])
And those he predestined, he also called; those he called, he also justified; those he justified, he also glorified. (Romans 8:30 [NIV])
For those God foreknew he also predestined to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brothers and sisters. (Romans 8:29 [NIV])
And when the Gentiles heard this, they began rejoicing and glorifying the word of the Lord, and as many as were appointed to aeonial* life believed. (Acts 13:48 [MODIFIED-ESV])*

Which is also why God has “prepared” different places depending on what he has predestined for each,

“Then the King will say to those on his right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father; take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. (Matthew 25:34 [NIV])

“Then he will say to those on his left, ‘Depart from me, you who are cursed, into the aeonial* fire prepared for the devil and his angels. (Matthew 25:41 [NIV])*

but to sit at my right or left is not for me to grant. These places belong to those for whom they have been prepared.” (Mark 10:40 [NIV])
